A number of consortiums and billionaires are reportedly showing serious interest in buying a majority stake in Manchester United.
It was announced on Tuesday night that the Glazer family is now willing to listen to offers for the Premier League side, with an official statement declaring that the process will consider a number of options, "including new investment into the club, a sale, or other transactions involving the company".

With United being one of the biggest teams in the world, it is said the American owners value the club at £5 billion (R102 billion).
Reports suggest that a sale for the Manchester club is now far likelier than at any other time during the Glazer's reign.
According to The Telegraph, British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe will submit a bid for United, but is not keen to overpay for the EPL side.
The 70-year-old initially expressed an interest in buying the club in August after a failed attempt to buy Chelsea earlier this year, but the entrepreneur poured cold water on a potential purchase of the Red Devils in October when he revealed that the Glazers made it clear to him at the time that they were not open to selling the club.
There is another concern for Ratcliffe as brokers Raine Group will handle the sale of the Manchester club – the same people who handled Chelsea's change of ownership and chose Todd Boehly's consortium over the petrochemicals industry leader.
According to Manchester Evening News, meanwhile, former Goldman Sachs boss Lord Jim O'Neill would also consider a bid for United if the Glazers were to lower their valuation, while Arabian Business reports that investors from Dubai are also eyeing a potential takeover and have been put on "red alert" after the club was essentially put up for sale this week.

It is likely that any deal the Glazers accept would see United become the most expensive Premier League side in history. That title is currently held by Chelsea following the £4.25 billion (R87 billion) the Boehly consortium paid to buy the Blues earlier this year.
