In a shock move that has shaken Italian football, the entire board of directors at Juventus, including club president Andrea Agnelli and vice-chairman Pavel Nedved, has resigned amid a fraud investigation.
The Serie A team's financial statements have been the subject of an investigation by prosecutors and Italian market regulator Consob in recent months for alleged charges of false accounting and market manipulation.

A new board will now be put together in the coming weeks following the unanimous decision for the current board's mass resignation, which comes as a result of the club's involvement in the Prisma investigation that was opened by the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office.
"We are facing a delicate moment in society. Better to leave everyone together, giving the possibility to a new team to overturn the game," Allegri wrote in a letter to Juve employees, per the Daily Mail.
"... When the team is not compact, it lends itself to the opponents and this can be fatal.
"At that moment we need to have clarity and contain the damage. I will continue to imagine and work for a better football club, comforted by a phrase by Friedrich Nietzsche: 'And those who saw themselves dancing were considered crazy by those who did not hear the music'.
"Remember everyone, we will recognise each other everywhere with a look: we are the people of Juve!"
Despite also resigning, managing director Maurizio Arrivabene will stay in charge of his administrative duties until a new board of directors is confirmed.
According to CNN, Juventus have found themselves in a difficult financial situation in recent times, with the side recently posting losses of €254.3 million for 2021/22 campaign, the largest deficit recorded in Serie A history.
In October, the club rejected all allegations of false accounting and market manipulation during an investigation into the club's financials.

Now, however, per the Daily Mail, with the board having been told the investigation had been completed, a source claimed that as many as 15 suspects, including Agnelli and Nedved, could go to trial.
