Cristiano Ronaldo could be stripped of the Portugal captaincy after his recent behaviour upset A Selecao manager Fernando Santos.
The Portuguese forward, who started every group match at the showpiece in Qatar, was seen reacting angrily to being substituted in the 65th minute of his side's 2-1 Group H defeat to South Korea last Friday.

While Ronaldo was walking off the pitch, the 37-year-old was also involved in a verbal altercation with South Korea's Cho Gue-Sun.
Despite starting in all of their matches at the tournament, the former Manchester United star has found the back of the net on only one occasion to date – a penalty in Portugal's first game against Ghana – something that is likely to be adding to the veteran's frustrations.
It was only after the match against South Korea that manager Santos realised how the striker had reacted to his substitution, and the head coach has since hinted that the captaincy could be taken off him for their round of 16 clash against Switzerland on Tuesday night.

"If I see the images, yes, I didn't like it, not at all. I really didn't like it," the 68-year-old said in a press conference, per the Daily Mail.
"Everything is finished, full stop, regarding that issue and now we have to think about the match and everyone is focused on the match.
"I only decide who is going to be the captain when I reach the stadium so I don't know the line-up.
"That's what I've always done and that's what I'm always going to do. It's going to be the same with this match."
Santos was also asked about Ronaldo's reported move to Al Nassr, which is said to be close.
"I didn't speak to him about that," the manager said, per ESPN.
"This morning I spoke to the players, but we didn't talk about this. I didn't know anything about this topic, to be fair.
"When I arrived here [at the news conference], someone told me about the news.

"But I don't know anything. It's his decision; it's his matter, not ours. Cristiano is 100% focused on the World Cup and on helping the team.
"That's his focus right now. About other situations, I don't know anything."
