Chiefs facing European competition for Ndlovu

Turkish side Kocaelispor have opened the door for Dino Ndlovu to return to the club amid ongoing speculation linking the striker with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

Ndlovu is currently a free agent after parting ways with Chinese Super League side Changchun Yatai and has been widely linked with a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, who are believed to be actively searching for attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window.

However, the Amakhosi may have to ward off competition from Europe after Kocaelispor president Engin Koyun revealed that the club would be interested in re-signing Ndlovu after he left a good impression during his brief stint with the club last season.

Ndlovu scored nine times in just 15 league appearances for the Turkish outfit during the 2021/22 season and was the league's leading goalscorer before his progress was hindered by injury, following which he departed for China ahead of the 2022 Super League campaign.

"Dino was top scorer for us until the day he was injured, he is one of the best quality names in this league," Koyun told Radyospor h/t Ajansspor. "If Dino had not been injured, maybe we would have gone to the play-offs. This city loves Dino, if he is healthy and at the level we desire, our door is open to anyone like Dino and Dino."

Following his departure from Kocaelispor, Ndlovu was limited to just nine appearances during his time with Changchun Yatai, scoring once, before making an exit at the end of the current campaign.
