Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing a Spain star to replace departed Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
With United boss Erik ten Hag having already made it clear the club will be looking for new players in the January transfer window, the Red Devils have already missed out on one of their more prominent targets, Cody Gakpo, after the Dutch sensation opted to join English rivals Liverpool instead.

Several forwards have since been linked with the Mancunians, including their former player and current FC Barcelona star Memphis Depay, as well as Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix.
According to Diario AS, however, the Premier League giants are keen are signing another Atleti forward, Alvaro Morata, to fill the void left by Ronaldo.
It is claimed that United are looking to sign the former Real Madrid and Juventus marksman on a loan deal, although it is unclear how long the interim stay would be for.
Morata impressed with Spain at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, registering three goals and an assist in four matches at the tournament.
The 30-year-old also has experience in the English top flight, having made 47 Premier League appearances and scored 16 times during an underwhelming stint with London outfit Chelsea between 2017 and 2020.

Atletico have already revealed that they expect Felix to leave the Metropolitano Stadium and have also allowed Matheus Cunha to join Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.
As such, they are said to be reluctant to let go of Morata, which could mean that United may need to look elsewhere for a Ronaldo replacement.
