Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker resurfaces at Maritzburg United

Former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Ali Meza has sensationally resurfaced at Maritzburg United ahead of potentially securing a permanent transfer.

Meza has returned to South Africa after parting ways with Bolivian outfit Always Ready FC in December, 2022.

The 31-year-old appears set to return to The Team of Choice for a second spell after an initial loan spell during the 2020/21 campaign.

Maritzburg United are currently to find the back of the net with Meza potentially adding an attacking threat as Fadlu David's side aim to move clear of the DStv Premiership relegation zone.

"Meza is training with Maritzburg United," a club source tells KickOff.

"He is looking sharp at training and could potentially sign a deal."

The Team of Choice have already snapped up former Orlando Pirates defender Wayde Jooste to bolster their squad.
