A furious AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz hit out at the standard of officiating regarding a dubious decision as Royal AM were almost awarded a bizarre goal that clearly didn't cross the line in his side's 2-0 defeat to Royal AM.
AmaZulu suffered a derby defeat at the Chatsworth Stadium thanks to goals from Motebang Sera and Mxolisi Macuphu.
The match, however, was marred by controversy as referee Christopher Kistoor came close to awarding a goal as Sera's curling effort bounced off the cross bar but crucially never crossed the goalline.

Folz, who furiously marched down the tunnel moments after the call was made as his players pleaded for a review, and returned shortly after the decision was reversed, said he was left baffled by the officiating on the day.
"With the event that happened, I don't know if for you it was clear, for me, it wasn't clear. I have no idea what happened over there," the Frenchman told journalists after the game.
"The goal was allowed and then disallowed. It was a matter of four or five minutes where no one knew what was happening.
"The only problem I have there, and it's a big problem, is me going to the fourth official referee and asking: 'what's the score?' and he tells me it's 2-0 when the score was 1-0.
"Then, obviously I make changes, we open up the play, they [Royal AM] score which was for me a third goal but it turns out it was a second goal, because he lied basically, or he didn't know what was happening."
"So for a ref to tell me the score is something else when it's actually something else. I've never experienced that. Ever, ever."

The loss sees AmaZulu fall out of the top eight but Usuthu will have a chance to climb back up the table when they host Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
