The story
An exciting chapter lies ahead for the 23-year-old after he recently sealed an exciting move to the United States topflight. It was revealed on Thursday the versatile midfielder will wear the No.6 jersey in the 2023 Major League Soccer season.
With a lot more about the move yet to be revealed, Blom showed his supporters a glimpse of his new training facility in Missouri, which will replace the iconic Naturena as his home. The venue was recently renamed to the Washington University Orthopedics High-Performance Center in last year and it is located just outside the home stadium.
Speaking about the venue after its renaming, the club's sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said: "It's our job to give the players the opportunity to be the best...have the best training facility," according to US outlet 5 On Your Side.
"It's unbelievable. If you turn, the stadium is there, the city center is there. I don't know any club internationally who has that opportunity.
"When the real stadium looks better than the model, we did pretty good."
The facility also features a movie-theatre-style film room, cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, two grass fields, and a turf pitch.
