With previous reports having suggested Lionel Messi would sign a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain, the Argentineis now said to have had a serious change of heart of heart due to three reasons, one of them involving France superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Following his sensational success at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the 35-year-old has been widely expected to make a decision on his club future as he had previously indicated he would be confirming what is next for him after the showpiece in Qatar.

Various reports in France quickly emerged claiming the forward had decided he will spend at least another season in Paris before considering other options thereafter – with David Beckham-co-owned MLS side Inter Miami said to be a likely destination.
It was then reported that a couple of Saudi Arabian teams were also interested in the player and would pay record amounts to get him on board, but those rumours were quickly dismissed by the country's football federation.
A new development has now arisen, with Spanish journalist Gerard Romero stating that the Albiceleste skipper is closer to leaving the Parc des Princes than extending his stay, despite suggestions that there is a verbal agreement in place between him and PSG.
Another journalist, Sergio Gonzalez, has backed this claim, saying there are three reasons why Messi seems has had a change of heart, including his relationship with the French club's supporters as well as the country's media.
The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has had a tumultuous relationship with Les Parisiens' fans, many of whom booed him and Neymar after the team was dumped out of the UEFA Champions League last season, while the French press have often been quick to criticise the Argentine, especially following his World Cup triumph in Qatar.
It is also claimed that Messi does not have a good relationship with manager Christophe Galtier, even though the coach has worked hard to accommodate him.

Kylian Mbappe's reported control in the dressing room after he signed his new deal is said to be another reason the South American now wants out of the PSG project.
The Frenchman's influence regarding transfers and more is believed to be a deterrent for Messi, who is said to want to avoid any future tussle with the No. 7 as he wants to enjoy the last few years of his playing career without any drama.
