Chelsea 'agree deal' for Man Utd target

Chelsea's spending spree in January looks set to continue after reportedly agreeing a deal for a certain Ligue 1 star.

The Blues have already made six signings in the January transfer window, the last of which was Mykhailo Mudryk for a reported fee of €100million.

According to RMC Sport, the Premier League side and Olympique Lyon have reached an agreement for the transfer of young right-back Malo Gusto.

The report claims that the Blues had an initial bid of €20million rejected, but they have now seemingly been successful with a second bid.

However, the 19-year-old will be loaned back to Lyon for the remainder of the 2022/2023 season.

Lyon head coach Laurent Blanc reveals that he has been assured that Gusto and Rayan Cherki will finish the season with in Ligue 1.

I don't like losing players that I want to keep. Have I received guarantees on these two ? Yes. My executives told me they will end the season with OL," he said, as per L'Equipe.
