The midfielder reportedly did not take part in training with the Bavarians on Tuesday in anticipation of the potential exit, which has now come to pass.
This transfer comes after Eriksen was ruled out for two to three months following a nasty tackle by Reading FC's Andy Carroll during United's FA Cup tie on the weekend.
Chelsea were reportedly also interested in the Austrian, but later chose to focus on other targets, such as Enzo Fernandez of Benfica.
