City dramatically reject Chiefs, Sekhukhune offers for Mdantsane

In a late deadline day twist, Cape Town City turned down offers for midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane from both Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United.

Both clubs made dramatic last-ditch offers to sign Mdantsane before the transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday.

However, both clubs failed to meet the transfer fee demanded by the Citizens for the 28-year midfielder.

"Both Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United were keen to sign the player last night," a source tells KickOff.

"Sekhukhune tried everything possible, but unfortunately, the deal still didn't go through."

Cape Town City has meanwhile parted company with veteran midfielder Mpho Makola.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder's contract at City was due to expire in June this year.
