Ncikazi urges fans to not compare Souaibou to Chiefs star

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi has made a passionate plea to the local fans and media to not compare new signing Marou Souaibou to Chiefs star Christian Saile Basomboli.

Souaibou and Basomboli joined Pirates and Chiefs respectively during the past transfer window period in January.

Basomboli who was signed from Nchanga Rangers in Zambia has already made two appearances for Amakhosi whilst Souiabou is still yet to make his debut for the Mighty Buccaneers after joining the club last month from Coton Sport in Cameroon.

The Congolese striker was on the score sheet when Kaizer Chiefs beat Maritzburg United 2-0 during the Nedbank Cup last 32 match played in KwaZulu-Natal last week Friday.

The pressure comes from you guys (journalists). We just work at our own pace, we do our adaption in our way and we cannot compare the two.

The other guy was playing in Zambia and Zambia, they speak English, the league is different he is coming from a French-speaking country the conditions are totally different, I think it will be unfair to compare the two," said Ncikazi.

Basomboli and Souaibou could meet each other on the field of play before the end of this month when Kaizer Chiefs take on Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby at the FNB stadium on February 25.
