Mason Greenwood has now reportedly held crucial talks with the Manchester United hierarchy.
The Red Devils are still in the process of conducting their internal investigation after criminal charges against the player were dropped earlier this month.

Recent reports have suggested that the 21-year-old met with some of his teammates in secret to give them his version of what happened.
The club's women's team and a section of the men's side reportedly do not want the player to return to the first-team squad, while manager Erik ten Hag is also said to have had a phone call with the forward.
Now, according to The Sun, the winger has held talks with the United hierarchy as their internal investigation continues.
"Mason and his team met with the club to start the process of trying to get to the bottom of exactly what may or may not have happened," a source told The Sun.
"It is an extremely sensitive situation and the club think it is only fair that Mason is given the opportunity to fully explain himself.
"The club are keen to hear his version of events.
"Only when they have the full picture, can they start to move things forward."
United's internal probe is likely to take some time, meaning that Greenwood is unlikely to play professional football before the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

The forward remains suspended by the club until the investigation reaches a conclusion.
The Daily Mirror, meanwhile, reports that Greenwood is set to become a dad for the first time in the coming months.
