REVEALED | Several stars set for departure as Chiefs transfer list players

Several first-team stars are set to sensationally depart Kaizer Chiefs as the club finalise their impending departures with a list of transfer-listed players.

Phathutshego Nange, Cole Alexander, Khama Billiat and Eric Mathoho are all set to depart the Soweto giants at the end of the season.

Nange has recently been struggling for game-time since his arrival during the 2020/21 campaign from Stellenbosch FC.

Both Mathoho and Billiat's contracts at Chiefs is set to expire this coming June, and will reportedly not be renewed with Billiat suffering a long-term injury.

Alexander appears set to reunite with former coach Gavin Hunt at SuperSport United for next season.

Billiat meanwhile, is being strongly linked with a lucrative move to the Middle East that will likely be his last big-money move before reaching the twilight of his career.

With regards to incomings, the Glamour Boys are being linked with a number of players including veteran midfielder, Andile Jali and in-form striker Ashely Cupido from Cape Town Spurs.

Cupido is currently the top goalscorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and the only player to reach double figures in the top two tiers in local football with 11 goals this season.

Meanwhile, the future of goalkeeper and club captain Itumeleng Khune also remains uncertain at Chiefs.

Khune's contract at Chiefs is also set to expire in June this year.

"Khune is going to stay, but he is not going to be on the same salary.

"He is earmarked for a position within the club's academy structures when he retires from football," a source within the club informs KickOff.
