Venda Football Academy (VFA) head coach Jose Masutha has backed Orlando Pirates to collect their second trophy of the season by lifting the Nedbank Cup.
The Buccaneers needed extra time to record a 2-1 win over determined Motsepe Foundation Championship side VFA. A first half Kermit Erasmus opener was cancelled out by an Edmore Chirambadare goal to send the teams to extra time (ET).
Thembinkosi Lorch eventually came to the rescue late in the second half of ET to seal a spot in the last 8 of the competition.
"It's a bitter sweet feeling. For us to play like this, I think I psychological it is a victory, especially looking f to games we will play. Good luck to Pirates, I think they will go on to take it," Masutha.

The Buccaneers are no strangers to silverware, having already lifted the MTN8 Cup this season. The Sea Robbers have won the Nedbank Cup eight times - a record only surpassed by Chiefs who have won it a record 13 times. Pirates last lifted the coveted trophy as recently as 2014.
Asked to elaborate further of his prediction Musutha added: "There are no specific reason from me to think they [Pirates] will go on and win it.
"I just want them [to win it] - when a team beats me I want them to [go all the way and] win, at least you will continue talking about us. So, that's the only reason. But otherwise I can say it was a good fight. It was a good outing."
