Jabu Mahlangu, who accused Mamelodi Sundowns of 'killing' the national team in January, has heaped praise on the Brazilians following their 5-2 thrashing of Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
Sundowns hammered Egyptian giants Al Ahly 5-2 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday during a group stage CAF Champions League fixture and Mahlangu, more popularly know as Pule, has expressed his delight.
The retired midfielder- turned analyst has taken to social media to congratulate the Brazilians and encouraged more professional footballers to follow the example of Sundowns players.
"To Mamelodi Sundowns, what a great performance. Amazing performance, amazing teamwork and amazing goals. You know what, Al Ahly felt the heat," Mahlangu says in video shared on social media.

"The performance the [Sundowns] players displayed was on another level, I have to say well done to Masandawana. Another star loading. As a South African, we say thank you Sundowns," Mahlangu said.
"The Egyptians have disrespected us enough. The teams from Tunisia, teams from Egypt have been disrespecting us for too long. So, well done to Sundowns. I think players [from other teams in the DStv Premiership] please guys, you can learn a lot from these guys at Sundowns. Well done to the Sundowns family."
The latest sentiments from Mahlangu come as somewhat of a U-turn from the retired maestro's infamous rant in January, in which he accused the Chloorkop club of 'killing' the national team.
