France coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed his new permanent captain and vice captain.
The positions has been vacant since France's World Cup exit in December after Hugo Lloris and Raphael Varane announced their retirement from international football.
As a result, Deschamps confirmed on Tuesday that Kylian Mbappe will be the national side's new captain.

Many would have thought that Antoine Griezmann would have been given the armband, but the Atletico Madrid star has been named vice captain for the two-time World Cup winners.
"Kylian Mbappé is the new France captain. Antoine Griezmann is the vice-captain. Kylian ticks all the boxes to have this responsibility. On the pitch as well as within the squad, by being a key element," Deschamps told TF1 journalist Saber Desfarges.
France take on the Netherlands in their opening 2024 European Championship qualifier on Friday evening.
