Jurgen Klopp has been backed to turn Liverpool's season around by a former Bafana Bafana star.
The Reds have endured a dismal campaign as they currently sit sixth on the Premier League table and are knocked already out of all cup competitions. This is steep decline from previous seasons, which has seen them make it to three UEFA Champions League finals, winning one, and end an agonising 30-year wait for a league title.
A number of first-team stars such as Trent Alexander Arnold, Jordan Henderson and Virgil van Dijk have been criticised for failing to replicate their performances from prior campaigns, with the sale of Sadio Mane earlier this season also doing little to help maintain standards.

With two victories in their last five matches, Klopp will face a tough test this coming weekend when the Reds go up against the log leaders Arsenal in what will be a must-win encounter for the Merseyside club.
Bradley August, a self-confessed Liverpool supporter and former South Africa international, has delivered his assessment of the club's season in an exclusive interview with KickOff.
"I am a Liverpool fan, but I must say it has been a bad season. A really tough one with a lot of injuries and midfield issues. They are probably working hard to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. The midfield is aging as well but Klopp knows where the problem lies. We hope they can push for the top four to qualify for the UCL. That past three games have been very tough and we will have to be at our best if we want to make it. What benefits us is that we have been here before, Klopp is experienced and he has the know how which gives us an edge over the competitors. Lets hope they pull through," the former Santos star said.
August also revealed who his favourite players are in the current squad.
"I like Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, I like forwards because I was one in my playing days," the retired forward added.

With August currently the manager of Hout Bay United's ABC Motsepe team, he was asked which Liverpool star he would want in his team.
"I would take Darwin Nunez, the South American, he runs like crazy, he is high tempo. I love everything about it," he answered.
A lot of criticism has been aimed at Nunez this season since his big-money arrival from Benfica as the striker has missed the second-most big chances in the league - 17. However, the 23-year-old has proven to be a vital cog in Klopp's side with 14 goals and four assists in 35 matches so far in all competitions. Despite the concerns from supporters and pundits alike, Klopp is sure Nunez will have a bright future at Anfield.
