Kante to join shock EPL rivals after approach?

N'Golo Kante has now been linked with a shock move to one of Chelsea's biggest Premier League rivals, with an approach having reported already been made.

The popular Frenchman's future has been a hot topic of late as his contract is set to expire at the end of this season, meaning the 32-year-old could be available on a free transfer in just two months' time.

As a result, some of Europe's biggest clubs have been linked with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, including FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, according to French publication Le Parisien, who quoted an unnamed source from Kante's entourage, the Blues's city rivals Arsenal got in touch with the player's camp regarding a potential move across London in January, and remain interested in securing his signature.

"N'Golo would like to continue his career in London, where he has his habits," an unnamed member of the player's entourage told the French news outlet.

"He liked working with Antonio Conte, but he has been sacked by Tottenham.

"Arsenal also made an enquiry.

"I think he will extend his deal at Chelsea before going to the Middle East in two or three years."

However, while the midfielder, who is said to be open to joining another London club, has struggled with injury issues for the majority of this campaign, it is believed that the most likely resolution as things stand is that Kante will renew his contract at Stamford Bridge before the end of the season.
