A very wealthy former Arsenal star has now hinted that he could look to buy the Gunners.
Ex-France midfielder Mathieu Flamini has amassed quite a fortune since becoming a full-time businessman after retiring from football in 2019.

The 39-year-old launched several companies after hanging up his boots, including co-founding GFBiochemicals with Pasquale Granata.
According to Forbes in 2020, that firm was estimated to be worth about £10 billion (R228 billion), with the three-capped Les Bleus star boasting a 60% stake in the company.
Flamini's ex-club Arsenal are not currently up for sale, but their American owners were urged to sell the team as recently as 2021.
Spotify owner Daniel Ek even announced his intention to complete a takeover, but current owner Stan Kroenke remains cemented in his position since completing a full takeover in 2018.
While protests against his ownership have cooled down amid the high-flying London outfit's Premier League title charge this season, questions still remain regarding Kroenke's stewardship of the side.
As such, Flamini has now suggested in an interview that he would be open to purchasing either Arsenal or another two of his ex-clubs in Olympique Marseille and AC Milan at some point in the future.
"Obviously, those clubs have a special place in my heart," the three-time FA Cup winner told The Athletic when asked if he would consider buying one of the abovementioned three teams.
"I never forget where I come from. In life, you never know but it's all about the right opportunity. I'm a real believer in the right time, right place, right people.
"We'll see what the future is made of. I'm a believer.
"If you want something very much, the universe usually brings it to you.
