Liverpool made it three straight wins in the Premier League after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in a seven-goal thriller at Anfield.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp made three changes after the win over West Ham United, with Ibrahima Konate, Luis Diaz and Curtis Jones
It took the Reds just two minutes to find the back of the net when Curtis Jones turned home Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross at the far post.
Memories of the 6-1 thrashing at Newcastle United came flooding back for Spurs, after Liverpool doubled their on five minutes through Luis Diaz's clinical finish from Cody Gakpo's cross.
The third goal did arrive in the 15th minute, with Mohamed Salah converting from the penalty spot after Gakpo had been brought down by Cristian Romero in the box.
The Reds did have a couple more sights at goal but were unable to add to their tally, while the North London outfit struggled to get any attacks going for most of the half.
Spurs did get a goal back in the final seven minutes after Ivan Perisic did well to skip past Virgil van Dijk and crossed for Harry Kane, who volleyed home from six yards out.
The visitors came out for the second half with more purpose and were unlucky not to have bagged a second goal ten minutes in when Son Heung-min rattled the upright with a strike from the edge of the box.
Both coaches opted to re-shuffle the pack as the stanza went on, with Klopp throwing on the likes of Diogo Jota, Jordan Henderson and Darwin Nunez while Spurs withdrew Dejan Kulusevski for Pape Sarr.
Spurs got the equaliser three minutes into second-half stoppage time when Richarlison got his first league goal for the club by nodding home Son's free-kick.
However, Liverpool would go on to get the winning goal a minute later when Jota pounced on Lucas Moura's back-pass before finishing beyond Fraser Forster as they moved up to fifth spot.
