Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho kekana believes it is too early for Cape Town City attacker Khanyisa Mayo to make the a big money move to one of the 'Big three'.
The 24-year-old has had a sensational season with City, directly contributing to 13 of the Citizens' goals with 11 goals and two assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Mayo's form has not gone unnoticed by potential suiters as Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are understood to be keen on bringing Mayo to Gauteng.
Kekana however, feels the attacker would be better served staying in the Cape.
"I think a player like him [Mayo], a left footer, I think is needed at Sundowns [But] I can easily say that he must stay at where he is at the moment because we are talking about a player who needs to establish himself and make sure that he is experienced in terms of scoring goals," Kekana said on SoccerZone.
"He hasn't scored enough this season but he has the potential to score more. So for me, I think [as a player] you need more game time in order to help you score more.
"I think it's too early for him to move, let him just stay there for two more seasons."

Amid the interest, City are also reported to have activated an optional two years on Mayo's contract, meaning that interested parties would now have to reach deeper in their pockets to sign the attacker for next season.
