Real Madrid 'confirm' Ancelotti's future amid Brazil links

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has now confirmed his stance on manager Carlo Ancelotti's future at the club, amid reports linking the Italian boss with the Brazil national team.

Ancelotti's future is the subject of ongoing speculation as he continues to be linked with the Selecao job after former boss Tite resigned from the role following the side's elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in December.

Several Brazil stars, including goalkeeper Ederson and winger Vinicius Junior, have publicly revealed they have discussed the 63-year-old's potential arrival and would welcome the decision with open arms.

With Los Blancos having seemingly taken their foot of the pedal slightly this season, given that they are almost guaranteed to lose their LaLiga title to FC Barcelona, reports have continued to suggest that Ancelotti could be allowed to depart and be replaced by a new manager at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, following Real's triumph over Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, the narrative appears to have taken a sharp turn, with Los Blancos' president openly sharing his stance on the situation.

With Ancelotti's contract now approaching its final 12 months, Perez has confirmed he wants the former Bayern Munich manager to see out the remainder of his term at the club.

"I don't want to hear any more about it, he has a contract and we are happy with him!" the Spanish chief said after the final, according to Marca.

Real's cup triumph now means that Ancelotti has won 10 trophies with the club, and he now trails behind only Zinedine Zidane (11) and Miguel Munoz, who coached the team in the 1960s and '70s to 14 titles, as the most successful bosses in the side's history.
