SuperSport stepping up attempts to recruit Chiefs star

SuperSport United are stepping up their attempts to sign Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange as Gavin Hunt looks to bolster his squad.

Nange is among a number of players set to leave Chiefs at the end of the season after being deemed surplus to requirements alongside Eric Mathoho and Cole Alexander.

Mathoho's contract with the Phefeni Glamour Boys is set to expire at the end of the season in June, with Arthur Zwane not showing any interest to keep hold of the player.

"Chiefs and SuperSport United are meeting next week with a hope to finalising a deal for Nange to join SuperSport next season," a source close to the discussions tells KickOff.

"The player is willing to move to SuperSport. It's all now in the hands of the two teams to agree on a transfer fee.

Matsatsantsa are similarly also pushing for the signature of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa to bolster their defence.
