A surprise new club has now reportedly made an approach to sign Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane.
The Senegal international's future in Germany remains uncertain after falling out of favour at the club just over 10 months after signing for the Bundesliga side from Liverpool.

His now-infamous punch on teammate Leroy Sane spelled disaster for the attacker, with the incident having since led to serious suggestions he has no future in Bavaria, especially with his form having taken a dip too.
Having finished second in the 2022 Ballon d'Or ranking behind only Karim Benzema, though, Mane's stock seems to still be high as he has no shortage of potential suitors amid his worrisome situation under Thomas Tuchel in Munich.
He has been linked with a return to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United reported to be interested, with the latter having sealed a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2002/23.
Now, according to Fichajes, Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have made an approach to sign the west African superstar.
The report claims that the Riyadh outfit, who have also been strongly linked with a move for Lionel Messi, would not have an issue covering the Lions of Teranga talisman's reported salary of €20 million (R416 million) a season.

However, it is further claimed that the 2022 CAF African Footballer of the Year is not keen on the move, and wants to regain Bayern's confidence in his services and fight for his place in the team next season instead.
Per the same report, Al Hilal are also interested in signing Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard, although it is understood that the Belgian intends to see out his deal, which expires in June next year, in Madrid.
