BREAKING: Kante leaves Chelsea, signs megabucks deal!

Chelsea star N'Golo Kante's new club has now been confirmed.

It has been confirmed that the France international has joined 2022/23 Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad after seven seasons at Stamford Bridge.

The 32-year-old is believed to have penned a lucrative deal worth €100 million (R2 billion) over three seasons that includes image rights and commercial endorsements.

Following his former international teammate Karim Benzema's arrival at the same club on Tuesday, Kante becomes Al Ittihad's second successive marquee signing ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Chelsea co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley said via the London club's official website: "N'Golo's impact and influence during his time at Chelsea cannot be overstated. His tireless performances in midfield contributed to several trophy wins and has guaranteed him a place in the club's history. We wish him well as he embarks on the next chapter in his career."

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner leaves England having won every available trophy during his 269 games for the west London club.

He was also a huge part of the iconic Leicester City team that stunned many to win the Premier League title in the 2015/16 campaign.
