Bale's advice to Messi ahead of Inter Miami move

Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has offered some advice to Lionel Messi ahead of his move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.

Bale spent a season in the MLS with Los Angeles FC, where he won the Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup before heading off to the World Cup.

Messi will make the switch to American shores next month after spending the entirety of his career in Europe, including the last two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain.

Bale, who retired earlier this year, told Messi that the MLS is a lot more 'chilled' after losing matches compared to Europe.

"It is a lot more chilled [in MLS]. If you lose at Real Madrid, it is like the world has ended," Bale told BT Sport.

"You are crucified. You feel down. You go home and you're not happy.

"They accept losing a bit more [in America]. There is no consequence. You can't get relegated over there.

"When you lose a game, you go on to the next one. They accept losing a lot better over there.

"They know how to lose but they celebrate every win like you have won the championship. He will definitely enjoy it."
