Junior Mendieta has said his goodbyes to Stellenbosch FC ahead of his move to DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Argentine midfielder was one of the standout performers in the DStv Premiership this past season, having registered nine goals and eight assists for the Western Cape outfit.

However, the 30-year-old's time at the Danie Craven Stadium has come to an end and he penned an emotional farewell to the club on social media.

"I am respectfully addressing you to thank you for the opportunity and the love that you have given me all these years," Mendieta wrote on social media.
"I think I have done my job very well and I have always given my best and that leaves me at ease. I will always carry Stellenbosch in my heart and be grateful for all the love and affection they gave me and my family.
