With Kylian Mbappe likely to sign a contract with a new team in the next year, the French superstar reportedly wants to have a clause in his next deal similar to Lionel Messi's at Inter Miami.
Messi will soon be unveiled as an Inter Miami player after spending two seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, where he teamed up with Mbappe.

The latter has been the highest earner at PSG since penning a two-year deal worth a reported €72 million (R1.4 billion) per year in May 2022.
According to reports, that contract also includes a potential €150 million (R3 billion) renewal bonus and one of €170 million (R3.4 billion) for two years of loyalty.
However, the 24-year-old has made it clear he will not trigger the one-year extension clause in his current contract, and will leave as a free agent in June 2024.
Despite being the highest-paid star in European football for more than 12 months now, the France captain seemingly has bigger ambitions after Messi was handed a gigantic contract worth up to $150 million (R2.8 billion) to move to the United States.
On top of salary and bonuses, that deal will also see the Argentine get a percentage of merchandise sold by the club and TV rights money, and he will also pocket earnings from Major League Soccer's biggest sponsors adidas and Apple TV too.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Madridista, Mbappe now wants a percentage of merchandise and TV rights money included in the deal when he joins his next club.
It is said the player understands he is likely to take a pay cut if he remains in Europe, while it is further claimed he has no interest in playing in Saudi Arabia, which is the most likely destination to offer him a salary increase on his current PSG earnings.

The Messi-like clause is expected to be one of his demands when Real Madrid eventually approach him in January 2024 to persuade him to sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
