"At the end of the 2022-2023 season, Paris Saint-Germain and Christophe Galtier decided to terminate his contract as first-team coach,"a statement on the club's official website read.
"The Club would like to pay tribute to his professionalism and commitment, which helped the Rouge et Bleu win a historic eleventh French Championship title and a Trophée des Champions.
"After arriving at Paris Saint-Germain on 5 July 2022, Christophe Galtier began by winning the Trophée des Champions with his team on 31 July 2022, beating FC Nantes 4-0 in Tel Aviv.
"A week later, with a 5-0 win at Clermont, the club from the capital took top spot in Ligue 1 from Matchday 1, and never relinquished it for the rest of the season - a first in French Championship history.
"Under his guidance, Paris Saint-Germain won their 11th Ligue 1 title, becoming the most successful club in the history of the French Championship.
"The entire Paris Saint-Germain team would like to thank Christophe Galtier, as well as his assistants Thierry Oleksiak and João Sacramento, for their professionalism and commitment throughout the season, and wish them all the best for the rest of their careers."
His dismissal from the role comes as little surprise after reports of his potential sacking began surfacing after PSG were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League back in March.
The competition is considered to be the main priority for the Ligue 1 giants' bosses, and failure to clinch it previously resulted in Mauricio Pochettino's sacking.
The 56-year-old is also embroiled in a racism investigation, with French authorities taking him into custody last Friday along with his son, where they were questioned about the alleged incidents of racism and bigotry that took place while he was manager of OGC Nice in the 2021/22 campaign.

It is believed his replacement in the PSG helm will be former Spain and FC Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.
