SuperSport set to poach Pirates star

Orlando Pirates Nedbank Cup final hero Terrence Dzvukamanja is set to join SuperSport United in a transfer swoop for the Tshwane side.

Dzvukamanja is expected to be unveiled later this week by SuperSport after agreeing to join Gavin Hunt's side ahead of the upcoming season.

Since discovering that the Zimbabwean already signed a pre-contract agreement with SuperSport, the Buccaneers have turned their attentions to Patrick Maswanganyi who recently joined.

Similarly, Mamelodi Sundowns' striker Etiosa Ighodaro is also set to complete a switch to SuperSport.

The 22-year-old Ighodaro impressed last season while on loan at Chippa United.

SuperSport have also added former Sekhukhune United goalkeeper Washington Arubi to their squad.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho is also no longer training with SuperSport after failing to impress the technical team.

"Mathoho trained with the club for few days, they are in Durban on a training camp," a source within the club reveals to KickOff.

"He [Mathoho] was just not what they were looking for.

"Players who are joining the club are Dzvukamanja, Ighodaro and Arubi.

"There are also five or six youngsters who will be promoted to the senior team from the development side.

"The club do not have finances to buy players. Dzvukamanja signed a pre-contract agreement, but details are still being finalised.

"Pirates have managed to bring in Patrick Maswanganyi."
