Real Madrid 'annoyed' at star who is refusing to leave

Real Madrid are now reportedly annoyed with a first-team star who is refusing to leave the club in this window.

Los Blancos have already signed four players, namely Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, Fran Garcia and Joselu, while Brahim Diaz has rejoined the club after spending the past two seasons out on loan at AC Milan.

However, it is now reported that more incomings may have taken place were it not for a particular Real player's insistence on staying at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, despite the club's efforts to offload him.

According to Diario AS, the LALIGA giants are becoming frustrated because they want to sell back-up goalkeeper Andriy Lunin in the current window, but the Ukrainian is determined to see out his contract at the club, which runs until June 2024.

The Spanish giants are said to be unimpressed with the shot-stopper's performances in pre-season in the absence of first-choice Thibaut Courtois, with the 24-year-old's recent display against AC Milan in particular leaving a lot to be desired.

Lunin is also reported to have clashed with goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis after that result, but the pair are said to have patched things up since.

The report also claims that Carlo Ancelotti's side is keen on a number of goalkeeper targets, including Getafe's David Soria and Rayo Vallecano's Stole Dimitrievski, for the second-choice shot-stopper position.

However, it is understood the club will not sign anyone for that role until Lunin departs.
