On Tuesday, Bayern president Herbert Hainer described the 31-year-old's first season in Munich as "certainly not satisfactory, neither for him, nor for us", and also confirmed they were aware of Al Nassr's interest in Mane and that talks are indeed underway.

"FC Bayern is informed about this," Hainer told the press in Japan during the Bavarians' pre-season tour in Japan, according to AP News. "But these are initial talks, you have to wait and see."

According to French outlet L'Equipe h/t Sports Zone, Mane's representatives have secured an agreement on wages worth $120 million (R2.1 billion) over three years with Al Nassr.

The Riyadh outfit is said to be adamant to complete a deal for the Senegal talisman, with the player having reportedly rebuffed offers from fellow Saudi Arabian clubs Al Ettifaq and Al Ahli recently.

A move to Ettifaq would likely have set a up reunion with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who is believed to be on the verge of joining the side, while a switch to Pitso Mosimane's former team Ahli would have seen him link up with his former striker partner at Anfield, Roberto Firmino.

It is further claimed, however, that Mane is still not 100% convinced by Al Nassr's proposal, while he is also reported being courted by Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
