Inter star slams Lukaku after Juve 'talks'

An Inter Milan star has criticised striker Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku after reports emerged he wanted to join Serie A rivals Juventus.

Lukaku returned to Inter on loan last season after falling out with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, but it seems the Belgian's future does not lie at Stamford Bridge heading into the new season.

Inter have been quite open about wanting Lukaku to return this season, but reports surfaced a couple weeks ago that the Belgian striker was pushing for a move to Turin.

As a result, the San Siro club have pulled out of the race to sign Lukaku and Inter star Lautaro Martinez was not happy with his former teammate's attitude.

"I was disappointed, it's the truth. I also tried to call him in those days of chaos, he never answered me, the same he did with my other companions.

"After so many years together, after so many things lived together, I was disappointed.

"Thankfully, it's his choice. I wish him the best. But I didn't expect this attitude."

The 30-year-old striker registered 14 goals and seven assists in 37 appearances for Inter last season, while also winning the Coppa Italia and reaching the UEFA Champions League final.
