PSG to anger Barcelona further & raid another top player?

With FC Barcelona annoyed at Paris Saint-Germain's pursuit of Ousmane Dembele, the French giants are reportedly ready to anger the Spaniards further by signing another one of their top stars.

Although the deal is yet to be made official, it is no secret that Dembele is likely be a new PSG player soon, barring some delays around the transfer.

According to Jijantes FC, the move is currently at a standstill due to Barca's reluctance to split the €50 million (R1 billion) fee the Ligue 1 club has paid as the France international's release clause.

The Blaugrana are said to be adamant they should recoup more than €25 million (R509 million) – it had been agreed that if buyout clause was ever met, it would be split in half between the player's camp and Barca – from the move, with the Les Bleus star set to remain in Catalonia until a resolution arrives.

With tensions heating up, it is now reported that PSG are planning another raid on Barca.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, the Ligue 1 champions are preparing an offer for Ansu Fati after the Dembele deal goes through.

The Spain international has endured a turbulent time at the club in recent seasons, with his prominence in the side having declined after an impressive breakthrough season.

With his limited role in the team under Xavi last season, the 20-year-old has often been linked with an exit as a result.

In the 2022/23 campaign, Fati found himself below the likes of Dembele and Raphinha in the wing pecking order, prompting his dad to publicly voice his frustration with his son's situation at the Camp Nou.

It is reported that his agent, Jorge Mendes, has been exploring opportunities for him, while Barca are also thought to be considering the possibility of receiving a good fee for one of their most sellable assets, which would help them financially, although it has also been claimed that Fati does not want to leave the LALIGA club.

With PSG having also recently signed goalkeeper Arnau Tenas from Barca's reserve team, Fati's potential move to the Parc des Princes could be make him the third Blaugrana star to make the switch to the Paris in this window alone.
