Yann Sommer was brought in for the remainder of the season, but the Swiss shot-stopper has now completed a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan.
German publication Sport1 have now reported that Tuchel is looking to raid his former club to sign Spain international goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa's future at Stamford Bridge also remains unclear after Chelsea recently announced the signing of fellow Spaniard Robert Sanchez from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Bayern reportedly wanted to sign Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, but the Spaniard is now on his way to join Arsenal who agreed a £30million deal on Tuesday evening.
The German publication have added that "initial talks" between the Bavarians and Chelsea have begun over a potential transfer for Kepa, who joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao for €80million in 2018.
The Bavarians have had a relatively quiet window after bringing in Min-Jae Kim, Konrad Laimer and Raphael Guerreiro while they are still reportedly trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
