Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has landed his first piece of silverware with Inter Miami, who claimed the Leagues Cup title.
It was a historic night for both Messi and the Major League Soccer outfit, as they lifted their first trophy ever.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner got the ball rolling on the night by scoring his tenth goal of the competition with a lovely strike in the 27th minute.

Fafa Picault brought Nasville on level terms in the 57th minute, which ultimately sent the game to a penalty shoot-out after neither side could find a winning goal.
The Miami outfit kept their composure and managed to win 10-9 in the shoot-out to secure their first-ever piece of silverware since their debut in 2020.
It was a memorable night for Messi, who finished the tournament as top scorer with ten goals to his name.
