Poch makes big claim about Chelsea's African star

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has backed Senegal international Nicolas Jackson to become a Premier League great.

Jackson got his first goal for the Blues in the 3-0 win over Luton Town on Friday evening after firing blanks in the previous two games.

Pochettino has been pleased with the Senegalese's output off the ball and believes he has a high ceiling in the English top-flight.

"It is really important for him [to get off the mark] because he is a young player, coming in from a different league," the Argentine told Sky Sports.

"The Premier League is always difficult [to adapt to].

"We asked him to run, to press in the phase when we don't have the ball. Then the quality with his feet, to run with the ball and to link with his team-mates.

"He can become one of the greatest strikers in the Premier League with time."
