Ronaldo takes 'legal action' against former team

Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided to take legal action his former team.

During his time at Juventus, Ronaldo and his teammates agreed to defer their wages during their Coronavirus pandemic.

The club asked the players to defer wages to their financial struggles at the time when football was not being played.

Ronaldo is now looking to get what is owed to him and is now taking legal action, with La Gazzetta Dello Sport reporting that he has requested the relevant documents from the Turin Public Prosecutor's office.

A number of reports in Italy claim those deferred wages, also known as 'salary manoeuvres', are part of an ongoing investigation.

The report adds that the 38-year-old forward wants to be paid £17.15million, which is the net amount he was promised by the Serie A giants when he agreed to defer his wages.

Ronaldo left Juventus in 2021 after spending three season in Turin, where he won two Serie A titles, the Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups.
