Furious Osimhen to take Napoli to court?

A furious Victor Osimhen could now be set to take Napoli to court following the club's recent behaviour towards him.

On Tuesday, the Italian side uploaded a video to TikTok in which the Nigerian star was seemingly mocked for missing a penalty in their Serie A clash with Bologna that ended in a goalless draw over the weekend.

The video was later deleted, but not before Osimhen's camp caught wind of it.

The forward's agent, Roberto Calenda, has since released a statement and deemed what transpired to be unacceptable, adding that legal repercussions may be on the cards.

"What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable," Calenda said, as per Fabrizio Romano.

"A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

"A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.

"We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor."

This was not the only issue that stemmed from the reigning Serie A champions' frustrating draw on Sunday, and it was not the only controversial moment involving Osimhen.

When the 24-year-old was brought off in the second half, he could be seen arguing with manager Rudi Garcia about the decision, reportedly suggesting that the team needed two strikers on the pitch as the Naples side tried to find a winning goal.

It is believed the side were contemplating issuing him a fine after that, but stepped away from the idea after the Nigerian called a meeting with the squad and the manager to shed light on the reasoning behind his action, apologise and explain that he meant Garcia no disrespect.

It is said that Osimhen's reaction after being taken off came from a desire to redeem himself for the penalty miss.
