Victor Osimhen has now, for the first time, spoken out on his situation with Napoli amid the recent controversy surrounding them.
After seemingly being mocked for missing a penalty on one the club's social media channels, and a public bust-up with manager Rudi Garcia, the 24-year-old has revealed he stills wear the badge with "pride".

"Coming to the city of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me," Osimhen wrote on Instagram.
"The people of Naples have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us.
"The passion of the people of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unwavering as I wear it with pride.
"I have a lot of friends who are Neapolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life. I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for lending their voices to support and reach out to me.
"Let's continue to spread unity, respect, and understanding. Forza Napoli Sempre."
The Nigeria international's statement comes after his agent threatened to take legal action against the club for a video that seemed to make fun of the striker's recent penalty miss against Bologna.
Matters worsened when he was substituted off later in that game, leading to a public bust-up with Garcia as he walked off the pitch, with Osimhen going on to remove all Napoli-related images from his Instagram account.
However, the club released a statement in which they said the video was never intended to offend or mock their star forward, while Gli Azzurri boss Garcia publicly stated that everything is back to normal after he and the player "cleared the air".
