Barcelona sporting director Deco has explained why a return to the Camp Nou for Neymar did not happen in the last transfer window.
The Brazilian forward was heavily linked with a return to Barcelona before the season after it was revealed he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Neymar left Barcelona in 2017 to join PSG but he did not enjoy the same success in the French capital.

However, it has now been revealed there were conversations but the financial aspect was one of the reasons a deal would not happen.
"There were conversations with his manager. This was much more with the president, but the truth is that the situation was never presented in a real way and how it could be done," Deco told Lance!.
"We have the issue of Financial Fair Play that dictates a lot, but Neymar's situation was never concretely stated. The numbers... we know Neymar had a very high salary, he had offers from clubs in Saudi.
"It was very difficult to get Neymar back in the current scenario. He is a fantastic player. Obviously he would fit into Barcelona, but there was never a real possibility, apart from the desire he had to return from Barcelona."
Neymar currently plies his trade in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal, but he will not play for the next few months after suffering an ACL injury during the international break this week.
