FC Barcelona moved to within one point of LaLiga leaders Real Madrid with a 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao thanks to 17-year-old Marc Guiu's goal.
Xavi Hernandez was without a handful of regulars through injury, which saw Fermin Lopez join Ferran Torres and Joao Felix in the attack.
The latter duo combined to scare the visitors over ten minutes played as Torres launched a cutback to give Felix a golden chance from close-range, but he arrowed off the woodwork.
Bilbao continued to live dangerously and needed a point-blank save from goalkeeper Unai Simon to parry Fermin's rasping strike in the area minutes apart.
The travelling outfit did manage to fashion moments of their own a little later through a snap volley from Inaki Williams following a loose ball, but goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen parried him.
Bilbao needed to make a substitution where Inigo Lekue entered ahead of Yuri Berchiche, who was unable to continue playing due to a suspected injury around the half-hour mark.
Williams went close again on the stroke of halftime when he pulled to the shoulder of the area to bring a point-blank stop off Ter Stegen after he seized a square pass.
Both teams were on the attack following the break where Ferran had a snap-shot from a tight angle blocked before Williams collected a reverse pass to flash into the side-netting.
Simon then produced a double save to thwart a curling shot on the area by Felix and repelled Fermin on the follow-up as the defence backed-off.
Catalans coach Xavi made a double change in the final quarter, as Alejandro Balde made way for Marcos Alonso before Marc Guiu replaced Fermin.
The changes were decisive ten minutes from time as Guiu collected a perfectly weighted through pass from Felix to go in goal and beat Simon from close-range.
Barcelona looked to double their lead in the latter stages, but they weren't able to find target as the one goal was enough to seal maximum points on the night.
