Chiefs-linked star turns heads with R400k set of wheels

A Kaizer Chiefs linked star turned quite a few heads when he stepped out of his car worth R400 000 wearing blinding sneakers!

Luke Fleurs took to social media to let everyone know that his sneaker game is still on point as he posted a series of photos that also showed off his incredible Volkswagen Polo GTI.

The defender possesses a red Polo that was dubbed a "Ferrari" by IK Sirius winger Tashreeq Matthews, probably because of its searing paint job!

According to AutoTrader, getting your hands on a car like Fleurs' will set you back a few pennies! A second-hand model like his costs in the region of R450 000.

The car with its turbo engine and top speed of over 200kph is the embodiment of a hot hatch! In a lot of ways, it represents the physical attributes of the ideal footballer! It's quick, nippy, efficient and, just like a player who displays silky skills on the pitch, a pleasure to watch!

The 23-year-old is seemingly also a sneaker enthusiast! In the final picture in the gallery above, the defender is sporting a pair Nike Air Max 1 Premium "Wabi-Sabi" sneakers valued at, according to Far Fetch, $580 (R11 100).
