Sundowns star: Parking the bus is not an option

Defender Khuliso Mudau has insisted that Mamelodi Sundowns will not be 'parking the bus' when they take on Al Ahly in the second leg semi-final of the African Football League on Wednesday.

The Brazilians go into second leg of the tie with a one-goal advantage thanks to a Thapelo Maseko striker in a 1-0 victory at Loftus Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to the club's media ahead of the second leg, Mudau has warned that his side should not be content with the one-goal cushion and rather aim for a win against The Red Devils.

"We knew it would not be easy to go to Egypt with a draw, so thankfully we managed to get a goal in the first leg," Mudau said.

"If they (Al Ahly) had an away goal, it was going to be difficult for us to win that tie in Egypt. So, look, I'm very happy for the team, that we manage to score one goal. To park the bus is not an option.

"We need to make sure our rest defence is okay because obviously playing away will not be easy. They will come (attack), we have to manage the pressure and make sure that we play our own game very well.

"Everyone wants this one (AFL trophy) because it's very important, to be honest. It's a big cup as Mamelodi Sundowns we want to win every game and we want to play in the cup final.

The match will be played at Cairo International Stadium. Kick-off is at 20:00 (SA time).
