The Burnley chairman has endorsed a special movement aimed at offering support to Bafana Bafana star Lyle Foster.
The story
Earlier this month it was confirmed that Foster would be out for an unspecified period due to mental health concerns. The striker is understood to be in the care of a specialist and the club supporters have shown immense support for him during this time of difficulty.
The fans have banded together and started a movement called #MileForLyle, where the supporters walk, jog, swim, or cycle for one mile or more to highlight the importance of prioritising your wellbeing.

Burnley chairman Alan Pace has now joined in on the movement to show support for the Clarets talisman.
It has been amazing to see so many Clarets participate in the fan led initiative of #mileforlyle. Our family got together over the weekend to do ours and discuss the importance of taking care of our mental health. The city of Burnley has emphatically shown that the Joburg-native is now one of their own despite Foster having only joined the club in January 2022. Clearly an important figure both on and off the pitch, as he remains their top scorer in the Premier League with three goals in seven matches in addition to two assists.

The chairman's daughter Ashlyn took things a step further, as she posted a video on YouTube and shared an important message about mental health.
"Just wanted to leave on the note of being kind on social media," she said, according to local newspaper the Burnley Express.
"There's a lot out there, especially right now where I think people feel frustrated, they feel like they can't control things and sometimes that comes out as mean messages.
"Just remember that affects other peoples' mental health as well, so think before we post and care about the people around us. Kindness is so important."
