Real Madrid 'make' big Ancelotti decision

Real Madrid have now reportedly made a big decision regarding Carlo Ancelotti amid much speculation surrounding his future at the club.

The Italian tactician's contract with the LALIGA giants is set to expire at the end of this season, with the in-demand coach previously believed to be set to manage the Brazil national team next.

Now, however, reports have emerged suggesting that Los Blancos are working on offering the 64-year-old a new contract, with negotiations set to take place in the new year. 

According to Relevo, it was the plan of the club's hierarchy to wait until the end of the year to decide whether or not they want to offer Ancelotti a two-year extension. 

As things stand, Los Meringues are said to be very happy with the Italian manager, with the club top of LALIGA log after losing just one of their 14 league fixtures this season.

The Spanish giants have also earned early qualification to the next round of the UEFA Champions League, having won all four of their European encounters thus far. 

Additionally, it is claimed Real are confident Ancelotti will say "yes" to their offer. of an extension. 

The Italian, meanwhile, revealed at a press conference on Saturday that his mind his not on the potential of managing Brazil as he is awaiting a renewal offer from the Spanish giants. 

"I don't think anything about [Brazil links]. I'm proud that one of the best international teams in the world like Brazil is linked to me, that gives me a lot of pride," he said, per GOAL.

"But I have a contract until 30 June... I repeat, my future will soon be known. I am here for at least six more months.

"Am I waiting until the last day of my contract for a renewal offer from Real Madrid? Yes."
