Ex-Amakhosi star opens up on next move after latest club exit

A former Kaizer Chiefs star has now opened on his next move after his exit from a Major League Soccer club was confirmed.

Teenage Hadebe will depart MLS side Houston Dynamo at the end of December after the side decided against triggering the option to extend the Zimbabwean's contract for another year.

The 28-year-old made 53 appearances for the Texas-based club after moving to the Land of Opportunity in July 2021.

He leaves on what can considered a high note, having won the 2023 US Open Cup and beating Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in the process.

However, his final season at the club was stained by injuries that saw him make only 16 appearances across all competitions for the Orange Crush.

With his time in Texas now effectively behind him, the former Amakhosi defender has indicated that he has not yet made a decision about his future destination.

"I'm still deciding on my next move. It's off-season here so I'm just resting and haven't made my decision yet," Hadebe said, as per the Herald.

"I'm grateful to Houston who gave me a chance and we made some memories here. Coming here was a big move for me and happy with that.

"I will miss the fans, they showed me love and supported me since I got here.

"It's time to move on and a new chapter. I'm not yet sure what the future holds but I believe in God to make a move for me.

"For now, it's rest, and I will let you know as soon as I know my next move."
