Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau was honoured at the 2023 CAF Awards after his exploits for Al Ahly last season.
The 29-year-old was a key figure for Al Ahly, who claimed their record-extending 11th CAF Champions League crown earlier this year
The Bafana star finished the campaign with five goals and five assists, making him the player with the most goal contributions for last term.
Tau beat out competition from Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile and Pyramids FC forward Fiston Mayele.

There were more South Africans honours on the night, as Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis was named Women's Coach of the Year.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies were also recognised after being named the Women's Club of the Year for 2023.
